Sooooo I've got a new job!  I actually found out on Friday, but I haven't felt like updating in a while (and it doesn't help that I don't have the internet at home).  Starting on Monday, I will be working for Caterpillar in a research group and changing the world for the good of humankind and our lungs!!  I'll basically be trying to help improve emissions from tractors.  In a nutshell.  I guess.    It's nice to work on a research project where I can actually see the result of my work and know that I'm directly influencing things.  I realize that most research is that way, but so much of it is abstract and so far away from the ultimate goal...I guess I'm an instant gratification kind of person.  There was a lunch in my honor at Famous Dave's today with a BUNCH of people from the USDA (and my totally awesome boyfriend).  Twas a bunch of fun, and they gave me a jacket with "NCAUR, the ag lab" on it.  Very cool.  Just like April's.    I'm really excited to leave my new job and actually start WORKING, but I know I'll miss this place too.  Even if my current job hasn't been all that great, I've been here for three and a half years, and I've gotten to know some pretty awesome people.  Hopefully I'll get to visit again, but we'll see.

My new camera comes via UPS tomorrow!  So excited!

*yawn*  I think I might leave work a little early.  After about a week of actually having stuff to do, I'm back to reading again.  I just finished the most recent Harry Potter.  It was awesome.  Although Harry is REALLY annoying sometimes.  Typical teenaged boy, I guess.    No communication skills whatsoever.

Can we say "quizzes?"

You Are Aurora! (A.K.A. Sleeping Beauty.)

Thoughtful and loving. Authority figures probably have been sheltering you all of your life. Thankfully you're a very tranquil person who is content with what life has given you, but secretly you want to know how the outside world works.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

**I just took away three of the quizzes I took yesterday because their pictures weren't showing up anymore and they're not quite as fun if you can't see the picture!**

*yawn*  I'm sitting here at Jeff's apartment waiting for him to get home so we can drink Irish beer together.    Happy St. Patrck's Day!  I wish he didn't get off so late....
So I got an official job offer from IKON today...I told them that I'd have an answer for them by Monday.  At least I hope I'll have an answer for them by then...the guy at VOLT told me I'd have an answer from Cat tomorrow.  So much anticipation!
People at the USDA set fire to the prairie today...it was awesome.  It's not that big of an area...just the wheat field looking thing that's near the interstate...but MAN did that thing get hot.  And boy did it burn!  I took bunches of pictures of it-digital and film.  I'll post one on here if I took any that are cool enough.
Ho hum...well I guess I'll see if Sims2 is still being stupid on here.  Whatever shall I do if it's broken?!

I had my second interview with Caterpillar today.  This one is a Mossville job...which means instead of being a human autosampler, I actually get to participate in research!  And unlike USDA research, I won't be sitting on my butt all day.  Way cool.  The boss guy said that it would involve mostly catalyst and materials science research, but he has some biochemistry-type ideas that he's thought of trying out, and I may be able to help him!  Woohoo!  That is, if I get the job.  He said I'll find out in about a week.  And the first Cat job...the third shift one...the other guy didn't accept the job, so I have another half hour interview with them on Friday.  Don't ask me why.  Apparently they didn't get a good enough look at me in the two hours we had together last week.  Whatever.  So now...I have the possibility of three job prospects.  This just keeps getting more and more interesting.  Once again, I'll have to wait a while to see what unfolds.  Maybe all three jobs will just keep postponing their decisions and I'll never find out!

Today is my sister Kelly's thirteenth birthday!  Happy b-day Kelly!  We get to go to the Olive Garden tonight to celebrate.  mmmmmm capellini pomodoro here I come!!

The Incredibles comes out today!  Man, this is one heck of a day.  And for those of you who may like video games, Brothers in Arms comes out tonight too.  I saw a video on it and it looks totally awesome.  Although...I doubt I'll play it.  I'll leave that to Jeff.

Kay.  I'm offa work now.  Toodles.
